FAQs

I submitted my request for a consultation or appointment, how long will it take for me to hear back from you?

You can expect a response within 24 hours, Monday - Friday, excluding holidays.

what types of sessions do you offer?

We are a fully virtual practice at this time. This gives us the flexibility to offer our support to clients based anywhere in Texas.

are you available on evenings or weekends?

Yep! We have both evening and weekend sessions available.

do you only see individuals, or do you also see couples and families? how about minors?

We work with individuals, couples, and, in some cases, families and minors. While virtual therapy can be highly effective, it may present unique challenges for children and teens—such as difficulty staying focused, building rapport, or managing technology without adult support. Younger children, in particular, may find it harder to engage in online sessions, and some teens may miss the connection of in-person interaction.

That said, virtual therapy can also be a powerful and convenient option, especially when in-person sessions aren't accessible due to transportation, health, or other unique concerns. We’re happy to discuss your specific needs during a free 15-minute consultation to help determine if virtual therapy is the right fit for you or your family.

can i have other people in the room with me during my sessions since it is virtual?

Broadly speaking, nope! Therapy is a sacred space that is meant to be just for you. If the need arises to have someone sit in on a session for a particular reason as part of your journey, that is something we will discuss boundaries and plans for ahead of time and will typically only be on a limited basis.

If your spouse/partner/sibling/parent/friend/child/friend’s child/friend’s partner’s co-workers parent needs ongoing support, we will be happy to get together some referrals for them to seek care.

what is brainspotting? if i start seeing you, do i have to do it?

Brainspotting is an innovative therapy for trauma processing. It is a gentle, focused therapy that helps you process and release deep emotional pain and trauma. By identifying specific eye positions linked to stored memories or feelings, it allows your brain and body to naturally heal and move toward balance. Many people find it helpful when talk therapy alone isn’t enough because in Brainspotting therapy there is no need to find words or openly verbalize your traumatic experience for your therapist.

There is no one best modality to use for healing. You are not obligated to use Brainspotting if it is not a good or comfortable fit for you or your needs. We are working together as a team to find the approach that best resonates with you!

do i have to use my insurance for our visits?

You don’t! Not using insurance allows for more anonymity and keeps you from having a diagnosis applied to your insurance records, but some people do use insurance to offset costs.

We are not currently an in-network insurance provider but we can provide you with a superbill at your request which you can file with your insurance for reimbursement of costs, where covered by your plan.

how much does this cost?

  • 15-minute consultation: Free

  • 50-minute new client intake session : $125

  • 50-minute standard session : $125

  • In some cases a sliding scale may be available with documentation of income. We know money is tight! If our fees cannot work with your financial needs we will work to provide you with referrals to other providers or community agencies to help you find the care you seek.
