Consumer Rights and Regulatory Information

Pursuant to House Bill 4224 (89th Regular Session), effective September 1, 2025, and in accordance with Section 181.105 of the Texas Health and Safety Code, licensed behavioral health providers are required to prominently provide consumers with the following information:

Request for Health Care Records
Consumers have the right to request access to and copies of their health care records. Requests for records may be made directly to this practice. Please contact the office for instructions regarding the records request process.

Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC)
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council is the regulatory authority responsible for oversight of licensed behavioral health professionals in Texas. Consumers may contact the Council using the information provided on their official website:

Filing a Consumer Complaint
Consumers who wish to file a complaint regarding behavioral health services may do so through the Office of the Texas Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division, using the official complaint submission process available at:
https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection/file-consumer-complaint
